07 . 10 . 2024

After more than 15 years as a leader in the VDR market, Fordata is opening a new chapter in its history with the introduction of an innovative product – Redact. It is a secure and intuitive system for the automatic document redaction, which addresses the growing needs of businesses in terms of data protection and compliance with regulations such as GDPR.

Why is Redact a revolution in data anonymisation?

Redact distinguishes itself in the market with advanced technology that automatically identifies and redacts sensitive data in documents in 18 different formats (the most in the industry!), including PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This system allows the use of redaction patterns, precisely anonymizing personal data, images and specific elements according to user-defined criteria.

The system provides full flexibility – the user can:

  • automatically redact documents,
  • work on a draft version,
  • and remove redacted elements when necessary.

Redact offers a function to restore the original document, allowing the user to quickly adapt the content to changing needs. This not only makes working on documents faster, but also more secure and efficient.

Automated redaction - saving time and accuracy

One of Redact’s greatest strengths is its advanced automation, which saves time and increases the accuracy of redaction by up to 90% compared to traditional manual methods. The system searches for and automatically redacts 23 types of information, including PESEL, NIP, contact details, bank card numbers and other sensitive data, and can work with documents in almost 80 languages. It is up to the user to decide which information to hide, and the whole process can be done with a single click.

Top-level security

In the context of data protection, Fordata is always committed to the highest security standards. The Redact system offers features such as data encryption, access control and user activity reporting. Data transmission takes place via SSL secured connections with AES 256-bit encryption. We use security in accordance with ISO 27001:2013 requirements, and the server rooms where data is stored meet TIER III standards and are located in Poland.

Intuitive and user-friendly interface

Despite its advanced technological features, Fordata has ensured that Redact is simple and intuitive to use. Users do not need to install any software – all work is done directly through a web browser, providing convenient access from any device and location. Redact also supports teamwork – users can collaborate on draft versions of documents and progress is monitored through a reporting function.

Who is Redact designed for?

Redact is ideal for industries that process large amounts of sensitive data, such as:

  • law firms,
  • banks,
  • financial institutions,
  • transactional advisers,
  • the public sector
  • and healthcare.

The system ensures regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA) and enables secure document sharing, which is crucial in the face of increasing data protection regulations.

The introduction of Redact is a historic moment for Fordata, which has been synonymous with reliability in the delivery of VDR services over the years. Now it is time to expand its offering. With Redact, Fordata’s customers can rest assured that their documents are securely anonymised, compliant and ready for secure sharing.

We invite you to test Redact – we offer a 7-day trial period to see for yourself the capabilities of the system.
