FORDATA Team Summary of 2025 at FORDATA. A year of development, knowledge and responsibility

The year 2025 was a time of intense work, dynamic changes and confirmation of FORDATA’s position as a leader in Virtual Data Room technology on the Polish and European markets. We implemented many product initiatives, strengthened our presence in public discourse through reports and guides, and consistently developed our social responsibility activities. It was a year that wrote new chapters in the history of FORDATA, full of challenges, successes and new opportunities.

Our priority is to provide solutions that meet the real needs of our customers – from users of advanced M&A processes to audit teams. In 2025, our VDR underwent a series of important updates and functionality enhancements that increased its usability and security.

The most important new features and improvements in VDR

• Next-generation OCR – thanks to this feature, scanned documents and photographs of invoices and contracts are automatically converted into editable and searchable text. This saves a considerable amount of time and provides greater control over due diligence processes.
• “View as an investor” – a new document structure preview perspective allows VDR administrators to evaluate permissions from an investor’s perspective, increasing the precision of access configuration.
• Regular improvements to stability, security, and performance – from strengthening password policies, through optimising system processes, to fixes detected through monitoring analysis.
• Structure and interface optimisations – including faster user group creation, improved navigation and document display, and enhanced control mechanisms.

These and many other minor changes show that FORDATA’s VDR is not just a file storage platform, but a tool that comprehensively supports the most complex business processes and responds to the ever-changing needs of users.

In 2025, FORDATA continued its mission of sharing expert knowledge through publications, reports, and educational materials:

M&A Index Poland Reports, IT Industry Report

Each quarter, we published M&A Index Poland reports on the mergers and acquisitions market in Poland, prepared in cooperation with Navigator Capital, as well as an annual IT Industry report, created jointly with CMT. Over the past few years, these studies have established themselves as a reliable and comprehensive source of knowledge about the dynamics of the transaction market in Poland. Since its launch, the series of reports has become an important point of reference for key market participants – dealmakers, private equity and venture capital funds, M&A advisors and business journalists – supporting investment decisions and the interpretation of current market trends.

Exclusive content on the blog

The FORDATA blog regularly published articles on:

• Mergers and acquisitions step by step, from analysis and due diligence to integration.
• Applications of VDR in business practice and good document management practices.
• Guides such as ‘How to sell a company?’ available for download, which supports entrepreneurs in preparing for transactions.

As a result, FORDATA’s content has become a valuable source of knowledge for both specialists and those just starting their adventure with M&A or VDR.

One of the most inspiring projects launched in 2025 was VDR Academy, a free online programme designed for students and junior professionals starting their careers in finance, consulting, law or transaction advisory.

The programme lasts two weeks and gives participants practical access to a real Virtual Data Room environment, where they perform tasks inspired by real M&A processes, from building document structures and managing permissions to editing and handling Q&A. Upon completion of the programme and successful completion of all tasks, participants receive a certificate that they can use in their CV and/or on LinkedIn, giving them a real advantage in the job market.

In 2025, FORDATA expanded its educational activities to include on-site workshops at universities, meeting the needs of students and research clubs. As part of this initiative, we held two meetings at the Poznań University of Economics (UEP) for research clubs, during which participants could learn about the practical aspects of working with VDR in transactions, talk to FORDATA experts and see how the technology supports real M&A projects.

As a result, VDR Academy has become not only an educational programme, but also a bridge between academia and business, supporting the development of young talent in a practical and modern way.

FORDATA is not just about technology. In 2025, we continued our efforts to show that business can be combined with social responsibility:

Planting trees for every contract signed

We were proud to implement an initiative whereby we planted a tree for every new contract. This is our contribution to environmental protection and support for sustainable development – a step towards a green future.

Support for the Dare2Dream initiative

We actively supported the Dare2Dream project – an initiative aimed at helping and empowering communities in Nairobi, especially women from the Mathare district. FORDATA provided financial and organisational support for this noble cause, demonstrating that business can have a real impact on people’s lives far beyond the market.

The dynamic growth of FORDATA in 2025 is driven not only by ideas and projects, but also by very specific figures that best illustrate the scale of our activity. Over the past twelve months, we have published 45 new videos on YouTube, ranging from behind-the-scenes footage of our work, through instructional videos and presentations of new system features, to reports from events and conferences. There have been 31 posts on the FORDATA blog, including a specialist report on the M&A market in the IT industry, which has attracted a lot of interest from readers.

We were present in 9 European cities, participating in conferences, trade fairs and industry meetings, building relationships and sharing knowledge with the market. We implemented 21 updates to the FORDATA VDR system itself, developing the product at a pace that meets the real needs of users. At the same time, we published dozens of expert and image-building posts on LinkedIn, engaging a community of professionals around the topics of M&A, technology and data security. All of this was reflected in our business – in 2025, we signed hundreds of new contracts (and thus planted hundreds of trees), which is the best confirmation of the trust our customers place in us.

The year 2025 showed that FORDATA is a company that does not stand still, develops its product, shares its knowledge and is socially engaged. In 2026, we will continue to:

• further technological improvements in VDR, including the development of product functionalities using AI-based solutions,
• implementation of AI tools supporting and automating internal processes within the organisation,
• subsequent editions of reports and expert publications,
• even deeper CSR initiatives combining business with real social change.
