Private investors continue to sell the most

In line with our prediction, the percentage of private sell-side entrepreneurs increased and returned to the values observed at the beginning of the year (up from 27% to 52% Q2/Q3). Most transactions took place in FMCG and Media/IT/Telecom (21% and 17% respectively). On the buy-side, companies from PE/VC funds (15%) and the Media/IT/Telecom sector (13%) dominate. Funds also continue to sell, although the number of exits decreased compared to Q2. Enterprise Investors slimmed down its portfolio with another company this year - Elemental Holding, and the most interesting exit was the sale of the Mila supermarket chain by Argus Capital to Eurocash for PLN 350 million. It was also the second largest transaction of the quarter. Due diligence was organised using Virtual Data Room technology provided by FORDATA. The use of Virtual Data Room technology during the transaction, which guarantees secure sharing of confidential documents with the other party in the process, remains stable. Available data shows that in Q3, 33% of transactions were completed using the Virtual Data Room system.
